BROKE ASS TERRIAKI

Servings: 1

Ingredients:

1/4 pound of beef (not ground, but whatever type of beef you can afford, for one person you'll only use half) approx $ .50- $1.00

1 Bottle of Terriaki sauce (you wont you use the whole thing, you can use the rest again) $3.29 (for your serving you'll only use 25 cents worth)

1 Pack of Ramen Noodles (leave behind the flavor packet for another dish) $ .25

1tsp black pepper

1 head of Bak Choy 2 or 3 bucks, you'll only use a few leaves so per leave it's pretty cheap.

2 tbs scallions (those green onions in chinese food, you can get them dried, or buy them fresh and chop them up) maybe $ .50

3 tbs oil (vegetable, olive oil, whatever you can afford) i dont' know how much 3tbs is, it's cheap, whatever. In other words if you break it down to what you're using for your plate, it's like 2 dollars worht of stuff. Provided you dont' let anything spoil, and don't over eat, you dont' have to spend a lot of money.

Start a pot of water and right when the water is just starting to form a coating of bubbles on the interior of the pot, start heating up a frying pan. While you're waiting cut up the beef and anything else that needs cutting. Throw the oil in the frying pan, wait until it that gets hot, by then the water will have boiled. Put the noodles without the flavor packet in the water. Throw the scallions in the oil if you bought fresh ones, if you have dry scallions throw them in the water instead. Take the chopped up pieces of Bak Choy and throw them in the water. Put the slices of beef into the oil, move them around, and dump the terriaki sauce into the pan with the beef. Put the pepper in and mix it all together.

If you want it to look good, take the beef out once it's cooked, if you want it to be quick just move to the next step.

Drain the Ramen Noodles and bak choy (and scallions if you used dry ones) after they have cooked firm yet tender. Throw that in the pan with the oil, terriaki sauce and spices from before. Mix this quickly and then cut the heat off.

Taste it, season to your liking.

If you took the meat out, grab a plate, lay out the noodels and vegi mixture in the center of the plate. Take the strips and lay them around the noodles and on top of the noodles. Drizzle some of the terriaki sauce around the edges in thin lines and make some kind of patter. Sprinkle some either fresh or dry scallions here and there to finish the garnish.

DONE
