Sunrice

This is an easy dish that costs you next to nothing per plate and is packed full of flavor.

What you'll need:

1cup rice
1tbsp margarine/butter
Tomatoes/stewed tomatoes
Mixed veggies (frozen kind or fresh)
Salt and Pepper
Italian Seasoning

Garlic (real or powder)
Onion (real or powder)
Dead Animals (chicken, squirrel, steak, shrimp, egg, doesn't matter)

What's cool about this dish is it can be as cheap or as elegant as you want and can be redone over and over in many different ways. It's important to keep things interesting on the dinner plate when you're poor because it aids in preventing insanity.

Start a big pot of water, boil it, then put the rice it. You want to cook the rice fully, taste it from time to time until it is the way you like it.

In a frying pan heat up the butter, add the spices ie: garlic, onions, pepper salt To the butter. You only want to put small quantities, a 1/2 teaspoon per. The first level of seasoning is just to get the flavors in the mix and blended with all of the other ingredients.

Chop up and fry your dead animal of choice in the butter along with the tomatoes, or stewed tomatoes... or no tomatoes for that matter. I do suggest you add some kind of meat and vegetables to keep the meal balanced, but this is even great just as the rice alone.

Cook everything in the frying pan and then add the rice.

Quickly fry the rice, not to the point where anything browns, but simply to stiffen up the mix. Blend everything fully. Almost "overblend" it. Constantly keep it moving, you don't want anything to brown to get the desired effect (obviously you can do whatever you want, I just suggest you don't brown anything because I personally think it tastes and looks better)

Turn off the heat and let it sit. Taste, add spices and continue to mix until it is the desired flavor.

It's easy, it's quick, it's cheap and it's damn good.

DONE
