Explaining The Rating System:

What separate my movie reviews from every other film critic in existence is that my reviews are designed to give you an idea of what level you would want to see a film. I watch the movie myself, I interview people that have seen it, and ya know how after a movie people always talk about the film on their way out of the theater? Well, I listen to them to, I also pay attention to audience reaction when considering what to rate something.

I combine all of these different opinions and then turn that into a review.

I use language like "What you'll love about this movie... what you'll hate". And check back soon, because I'm also going to be adding a new feature to the site "The Best Teasers In The World" Teasers that tell you just enough to get you interested (or turn you off) but don't ruin the story at all.

With all that said, here's what each rating means:

SUCKED:
Don't even bother watching this movie, even for free, it's terrible, boring, doesn't do it's job, DON'T bother.

1/2 SUCKED:
Okay... it's bad, but if it's free, if you're bored, and if you have nothing to do but watch TV and it's on, go ahead it's worth it.

DIDN'T SUCK:
It's nothing special, it's worth going to the matinee. You might end up renting the DVD, possibly buying it.

DIDN'T SUCK and 1/2:
Here's a movie that's fun, entertaining, worth getting friends together for. It's not amazing, but worth buying the DVD.

ROCKED:
The Movie ROCKED. Enough said, go to the movies, rent it, buy it.

Regardless of the rating, in my opinion you should always read the reviews. Sometimes there will be a movie that I love, but I give it a sucked rating because I know most people won't like it at all. I'll then give my reasoning behind my own personal feelings and you can use that to decide if, even though the movie sucks, you might want to see it after all. A great example of this is I'm a total sucker for crappy horror movies. Things like Evil Dead, Bubba Hotep, Grim, and other crap ass movies appeal to me because it's always some guy with dreams of becoming a successful film maker and all he's got is a cast of 6 people, 20 bucks and a WHOLE lotta duct tape. So I'll buy movies like that because their crap means more to me then an 80 million dollar movie's mediocrity.

Anyway, the best part of my reviews is that my personal feelings only play a small part in the decision, which means in the end you really do get a clear idea of how much you'll enjoy a movie.
